A cold night is on the way with record lows likely. The Tue. morning, March 25th record for JIA is 36 set in 2006...the First Alert Forecast is 34. And we should see lows as cold as 32 & a few degrees lower along & west of Highway 301. But even here the freeze will be a light one with subfreezing cold only lasting 2-4 hours. Only the most sensitive of plants should have a problem with this cold.
The rest of the week is very quiet & nice for the First Coast. The jetstream is retreating to the north so there will be few fronts near the area & temps. will gradually climb. It'll still be cool but nice Tue. with afternoon highs only in the 60s but then into the 70s Wed. & Thu. & near or a little above 80 by Fri. & Sat. There's virtually no chance for rain until at least Sun., Mon. & that will depend on just how far south a front can make it as a strong upper level ridge tries to stay established over or near the Southeast U.S. So we're in for an extended period of "chamber of commerce" weather.

My parents had some light snow in Iowa for Easter Day....that means there has been at least some snow on the ground on every holiday since & including Thanksgiving (Christmas, New Year's & Valentine's Day). They are anxiously awating the true arrival of spring!
